Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born August 9, 1976, in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Audrey's parents as a dentist and a teacher, recognized and supported their daughter's passion for acting and drama on an early stage. Their support is more than enough for Audrey to overcome her original ambition to be a an animal scientist. The rise of her as a young actress was rapid and accompanied by early success. After her graduation in 1998, she took part in the French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning the journey to become an actor. Tautou attended church and the Institut Catholique de Paris during her early years, but has since gotten rid of these upbringings. Modeling and acting have been interspersed. She became the face for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is often referred to as The Chanel Muse. Photographing is also a hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival with the name Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity as well as the fame. Also, it features an assortment of self-portraits as well as a focus on journalists that have scrutinised Tautou since her meteoric popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big performance in Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a worldwide box office success, and received accolades at awards galas around all over the world. Amelie is the top grossing French language movie in the US. The success of this movie has led to Tautou being cast in a range of roles, from British dramas as Dirty Pretty Things by Stephen Knight and Jean Pierre Jeunet to Hollywood's The Da Vinci Code with Tom Hanks.
